Both are located in the firm’s Denver office. Sciarra assists with the day- to-day management of the office and leads the design team of mul- tiple multi- family and m i x e d - u s e projects from c o n c e p t u a l site planning and product development through con- struction. He works hand-in-hand with a team of planners, designers and project managers in devel- oping successful communities that meet clients’ design, mar- ket and financial goals. Sci- arra has been in the firm’s Denver office since its incep- tion in 2006. Previously, he began his career with KTGY in Irvine, California, focusing on single-family housing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sciarra actively attends and has spo- ken at numerous industry events, written expert articles and has frequently been quot- ed in industry publications on the latest trends and newest developments in the housing market. He is a licensed archi- tect in Arkansas, Arizona, Col- orado, Hawaii, Idaho, Mon- tana, Nebraska, Nevada, Ten- nessee, Utah and Washington. Pitts has 15 years of archi- tectural expe- rience and manages mul- tiple projects throughout all phases from s c h e m a t i c design to con- struction. Pitts joined the firm in 2011 and most recently held the posi- tion of project manager. s Matt Lewallen, Joe Horn- stein, Kevin Calame and Scott Fetter joined forces to launch their own independent commercial brokerage firm, Aqyre Real Estate Advisors. Joining their team of advis- ers are Dan Hawthorne, Jack Sherman, Hunter Schaefer, Keith Hardy, David Barocas and Kalia Dee. Previously, the founding members were at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors. s Project director Anthony O y e w o l e joined Flint- co’s Denver team. A 20-year veteran of the firm, Oyewole has experience in both project management and field supervision. Addi- tionally, he has experience in a variety of market sectors, including health care, avia- tion, education, correctional, sports and leisure. He is joined in the Denver office by Charlie Brackman, project manager, and Brennen Knerr, assistant superinten- dent. Brackman came to the Den- ver office after six years in the firm’s Austin location, where he completed the decom- missioning of a 1950s-era 129,000-square-foot, four-level former city of Austin Power Plant for a new mixed- use devel- opment and worked on a large, state-of- the-art brew- ery in Mexico for Constella- tion Brands Inc. He also has managed projects in cold- weather climates such as his recent experience in Ontario, Canada. He is a Lean industry leader and coach of Flintco’s Lean2.0 program. Knerr has four years of field experience in large-scale con- struction projects in through- out the Western United States region as well as abroad. He is a gradu- ate of Colo- rado School of Mines and a member of the Ameri- can Society of Civil Engi- neers. He also has experi- ence in health care, higher education (includ- ing Metropolitan State Uni- versity of Denver), as well as manufacturing and industrial projects. s R o w l a n d + B r o u g h t o n Architecture / Urban Design / Interior Design announced the addition of three new team members to its Aspen and Denver studios. Olivia Klotz, NCARB, LEED GA, joins as architectural designer in the Aspen studio, Macy Funk, AIA, joins as architectural design- er in the Denver studio and Jamie Butemeyer joins as stu- dio manager, executive assis- tant in the Aspen studio. Klotz has seven years of experience in the field of archi- tecture, with a diverse portfo- lio of commercial and work- place projects. Most recently, she was project architect at EUA Architects (formerly Bur- kettDesign) in Denver, where she mas- ter planned, designed and managed large and small- scale commer- cial interior projects. Klotz earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining the firm, she also did a yearlong solo travel sabbatical in which she volunteered in sustain- able building and design with Build Abroad in Peru. Funk has experience in cus- tom residential and small com- mercial projects from prede- sign through cons t ruc t ion a dm i n i s t r a - tion, as well as skills in architectural graphics and visualization t e c h n i q u e s . Most recently, she worked as an architectural designer at Lubowicki Architecture in Denver. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Architecture and Planning. Funk is currently working toward her NCARB certifica- tion. Butemeyer brings five years of creative administrative and business management expe- rience to the Aspen stu- dio, including as a studio manager at Shakti Studio in Aspen and an interior design assis- tant at Love Story Design in Boulder. Butemeyer received a Bach- elor of Fine Arts in musical theater from The Weitzenhof- fer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklaho- ma. s CBRE has expanded its Retail Advisory & Transaction Services in Colorado with the addition of Bryan Semel, based in Aspen, and Molly Bayer, based in Boul- der. Semel joined as a vice presi- dent, focusing on advising retail clients in leasing and disposi- tion services t h r o u g h o u t the Interstate 70 mountain corridor, from Vail to Grand Junction. Based in the Aspen/ S n o w m a s s area, Semel leverages his knowledge of the mountain resort sector while assisting cli- ents with market projections, property analysis and lease/ purchase negotiations. He most recently spent five years at Com- pass, where he led and grew the commercial division. Bayer joined as a senior associ- ate, representing both tenants and landlords of retail proper- ties from Boulder to Denver and surrounding areas. Bayer has been active in the com- mercial real estate industry for more than five years, working with local and national clients t h r o u g h o u t Colorado. Her experi- ence involves a range of proj- ects, including small shop- ping centers, grocery-anchored centers, new multitenant build- ings, regional retail develop- ments and urban retail. s Kevin Boltz was appointed national director of engineering, asset services, for Transwestern Commercial Services. In his newly expanded role, Boltz will provide technical direction and building engineer- ing support across the firm’s 211 million-square- foot managed portfolio. He joined the firm in 2018 to over- see building engineering for the firm’s Den- ver portfolio. With more than 16 years of experience, he previously served as manager of facilities and engineering with Gates Corp., where he directed the operations for regional facilities located in Colorado, Texas, Kan- sas, Washington and Mexico. Additionally, Boltz worked with the Denver International Airport as HVAC supervisor, managing 37 engineers and 115 buildings. Boltz earned a degree in con- struction management and a black belt in Lean Six Sigma. A LEED certified professional, he holds Journeyman licenses for Heating and Ventilation Super- visor A, Operator and Universal CFC. s Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate created a new develop- ment sales division, headed by Shawna Topor. Topor, recently promoted to executive vice president, has been an SSF employee since 1998. Most recently, she was vice president and has 24 years of experience in sales and market- ing of new developments. The new division will bring together the firm’s most forward-think- ing planners and brokers, who will work with real estate developers as they research, concept, build, brand, launch and sell new developments in the Rocky Mountain corridor and beyond. s Derek Pedersen, PE, was promoted to structural prin- cipal and Boulder structural department manager for JVA Inc. Pedersen has been with the structural team in Boulder since 2000 and has complet- ed the design of multiple health care, e d u c a t i o n , m u n i c i p a l and commer- cial projects t h r o u g h o u t the country. As a technical and corpo- rate leader, he will continue the firm’s commitment to qual- ity with a focus on BIM and drawing and design standards. He also is a member of the corporate management team and an adviser to the firm’s young professionals employee resource group. s Gabriel Hill was named an adviser for SVN|Denver Com- mercial. Hill, based in Denver, pro- vides advisory services across property types and industry sectors.
