L ouis Fourth candle of Advent -- Peace December 24 was the fourth Sunday of the month, the fourth Sunday of Advent and the fourth Sunday, Youth Sunday at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church. This Sunday the young men from St. Stanislaus College Prep, seniors Ethan Galloway, Rylie Cook, and eighth-grader Javien Thompson assisted Father Gus Wall in the lighting of the Fourth Candle of Advent -- Peace as they completed their preparation and renewal. We are thankful for the service of the youth at St. Rose; especially what they bring to our Church and community. We are grateful that their visibility in church, at school and in their community will have a positive impact on the youth who will follow them. These young men serve as Altar Servers, ushers, and lecturers in church. In school they participate in student council, student ministry, football, basketball and track. We have little doubt that based on their training in Youth Ministry and commitment to service, Ethan, Rylie and Javien are well on their way to success in their chosen future endeavors. O ur M other of M ercy P arish , P ass C hristian Christmas play An original play entitled “When The Angel Came,” a story that celebrated Jesus’ birth through the eyes of Mary, His mother, was performed by CCD teachers and students on Sunday, December 17. The PreK/K performed a song and the OMM Praise Dancers danced. It was a great night of celebration!
