Gulf Pine Catholic • May 24, 2024 17 A team of faculty and students spent their Easter break on a trip to assist the Navajo peoples at St. Anne’s Mission in Klagetoh, AZ. The mission has a food bank, rummage sale, youth program, and church activities for the local community. Our stu- dents and faculty help each year with these services to assist the people in that area. Congratulations to junior Oren Doxey and senior Richard Niolet on being selected for the 2023-24 Soccer All-South Mississippi Team. Doxey, who was named a Coast All Star, scored 19 goals and provided 20 assists. Niolet scored 23 goals and assisted on 5 more while also being named a Coast All Star. The SSC Youth Legislature team recently attend- ed the Jackson conference. Cole Gros and Noah Swanson got their bill passed. Jackson Timberlake won the Prestigious Statesman Award and Asa Jones won Most Outstanding Representative. The baseball Rock-A-Chaws held a mother-son banquet at the Pass Christian Yacht Club. The event was a great opportunity for players and their mothers to bond over shared stories and a delicious meal. The team thanks Vanessa Mossy for organizing this amazing event for all to enjoy.
