12 Gulf Pine Catholic • June 7, 2024 BILOXI -- St. Patrick Catholic High School is proud to announce Evan Holli- man as Class of 2024 Valedictorian and John Mi- chael Hewes as Class of 2024 Salutatorian. Valedictorian Evan Holliman is the son of John and Jessica Holliman. During his time at St. Patrick, Evan was an active member of Team Tempest Robotics where he served as president. He also served as president of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and vice president of the Emerald Ambassadors. He plans to attend Mississippi State University, where he will major in aerospace engineering. Salutatorian John Michael “Jack” Hewes is the son of Michael and Kay Hewes. During his time at St. Patrick, Jack helped win many state titles in cross country and track. He founded the St. Peregrine Fellowship at St. Patrick, which focuses on raising awareness of various forms of cancer. Jack plans to attend Louisiana State University where he is a Stamps Scholar. LOUIS -- Our Lady Academy is pleased to announce that Katherine Favre has been named Valedictorian and Grace Oliver has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. Katherine Kennedy Favre was named Valedictorian of Our Lady Academy’s Class of 2024. Katie is the daughter of Trent and Shannon Favre of Kiln. Katie will graduate with a weighted GPA of 4.45, an ACT superscore of 31, and an ACT composite of 30. During her time at Our Lady Academy, Katie has been a member of National Honor Society, serving as president this year, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, Science Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and has also been rec- ognized as an AP Scholar. She has served as vice president of the Crescents Athletic Club, class secretary of the ninth-twelfth grade classes, and as an OLA Student Ambassador. For two consecutive years, she earned top 10% of scores in Biology at the Mississippi College of Math and Science Competition. She has been a St. Stanislaus cheerleader for six years, serving as captain of varsity team this year and receiving the prestigious Brother Aucoin Gauthier Award. Katie has also been a member of the OLA ten- nis team and earned the title of a 3A State tennis champion this season. Grace Elizabeth Oliver was named Salutatorian of Our Lady Academy’s Class of 2024. Grace is the daughter of Charles and Hannah Oliver of Bay St. Louis. She is a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Grace will grad- uate with a weighted GPA of 4.44, an ACT super- score of 28, and an ACT composite score of 27. Grace has served as president of the Class of 2024 and as an ambassador throughout high school. Grace has also served as a SADD representa- tive and as a member of Campus Ministry. During her time at OLA, Grace has been a member of National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Science Honor Society. Grace has been a member of the varsity soccer team since ninth grade serving as co-captain and as a member of the state championship team in 2022. Katie will attend The University of Tennessee with a volunteer scholarship in the fall. She was accepted into the UT Chancellor’s Honors College and admitted to UT’s Haslam School of Business and plans to major in economics with a minor in finance.
