Coach Redmond has previously worked with the track and cross-country teams and also works in the Cafeteria at the middle/high school. Redmond has coached both the girls and boys bowling teams for the past two years, helping to lead both the boys and girls teams to South State in 2023 and 2024 and the girls to the State Championships in 2024. Principal Kristal Sisson says, “We are excited to have Coach Redmond as our new head track and cross-country coach! Coach Redmond is familiar with the program Coach Burgo has built, and I am confident he will continue our winning legacy!” Athletic Director Eric Denmark added, “We are excited to welcome Chuck Redmond as the new head coach of cross country and track at Resurrection Catholic High School. Coach Redmond brings lots of energy, hard work, and a strong background in the sport to our team. We believe that with him in charge, our student-athletes will not only improve their performance in the classroom, but also under- stand the importance of life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience. The whole Resurrection Catholic community looks forward to the positive changes Coach Redmond will bring to our cross-country and track teams, and we fully trust in his ability to lead our pristine program to new suc- cesses.” Coach Redmond is looking forward to his new role at RCMHS. “I am excited, grateful, and hon- ored,” said Redmond. “I intend to continue to build on the firm foundation that Coach Burgo laid.
