And since then, they’ve come a long way! Whether they have become easier or more complicated depends on you. The Leisure World Computer Club strives to assist, instruct and advise you in your operation of computers. In 1987 we had no concept of a “Smart Phone,” but about everybody has one today. They still amaze us with all the stuff they offer: Facebook, Twitter, calculator, Flickr, take photos, check weather globally, receive and send e-mails, ask a question and get the answer, stock market information, etc. Who needs a daily newspaper? I do because I love the comics. But I know somebody will recommend getting them on your smartphone. I bet I can find an app that will teach you how to play the harmonica. Don’t leave your house without your smartphone on your person. The programs for November are Monday mornings in Rec. 1 Ballroom at 8:45 a.m.: Nov. 5: No program - Activity Fair Day Nov. 12: SOS (Serving Online Seniors): We will provide insights into computer maintenance Nov. 19: Joan Campbell from Maricopa County Attorney’s office will update us on holiday credit cards Nov. 26: Lou Desiderio will update us regarding 2018 tax change Please note that November 3 and 17 (the first and third Saturday) in Rec. 1 Theater at 9 a.m., John Murphy will lead a Q&A session.
