Born on April 16, 1926 in Kalamazoo, Mich., he served in the US Navy during World War II on the Guantanamo Naval Base. He graduated from the University of Michigan with Bach lors and Master’s degrees in geology. He spent most of his career in Texas and New Mexico exploring for oil. In the latter part of his career he searched for deposits of gold, silver and copper until his retirement. In Leisure World he was active in the Green Bananas, Lions Club and the Lawn Bowlers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years,Ann, two children and two grandchildren. EdwardKeith (Ed) Jackson , was raised in Oklahoma. He attended Edmond High School and earned a BS andMS in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University. He worked for the Department of Bridges, State of California, then worked for W.M. Lyles Company, Fresno, Calif., as an engineer in pipeline work. H e became presid ent of Ka eah Construction Company in 1972 which he held until 1982. He formed a partnership with Richard Watson and worked until retirement as CONEJO constructors in waste water and potable water treatment plants until 2001. He married Cherilyn Boehing in 1963 in Sa ta Ba rbara, Calif., a marriage of 54 years. He enjoye th woodshop, library and Fitness Center here in Leisure World. Travel and putzing were his other hobbies, along with love for his dog, Marshmallow. A remembrance event will be held Friday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rec. 1 Clubroom.
