Not only does it teach the body to be strong and supple, it also keeps the mind alert and active. Join us to learn about deep breathing and relaxation techniques that will keep your body refreshed. ~* Aqua Fitness - This class provides a water workout that includes cardio conditioning and muscle strengthening exercises using a variety of equipment with the water’s natural resistance. ~*Circuit/Interval Training - An interval type of physical training (cardio and strength) that involves high intensity exercise alternated with rest periods is highly effective in conditioning the cardiovascular system. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. ~*Core Conditioning - This class will combine stability and flexibility exercises focusing on strengthening your abdominals and lower back muscles. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. ~*Counter Punch - It’s time to counter punch your health challenges such as body fat, cardiovascular disease, balance/stability, coordination, and focus. Bring your gloves and wraps if you have them. ~*Easy Yoga - A gentle Hatha Yoga class focusing on the basics of this ancient art for the beginner and beyond. This class takes you through the therapeutic and spiritual aspects allowing for growth in strength, balance, flexibility, calm, concentration and peace within. Participants will be asked get up and down from the floor. Bring your mat and blanket or towel and a smile! ~*Gentle Yoga Challenge – A gentle Hatha Yoga for those who lead an active lifestyle and are ready to enhance their yoga practice. Jams - This high energy, music driven class is powered by heart pumping high intensity interval training and the best beats to keep you motivated! This class will combine strength and endurance components using a variety of equipment and followed by a calming cooldown. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. Music volume is set high to maintain high energy throughout the class, if you are sensitive to music volume this may not be the class for you. ~ Hydrorider® - Aqua cycling has become a fitness phenomenon because of the many incredible benefits: high caloric burn, lean muscle-building and increased circulation with low impact on the joints. Aqua shoes required. ~Mobility & Recovery - Are you looking to prevent injury, improve range of motion and recover faster? This class will address flexibility, stretching, stability and movement mechanics that support your daily workouts. We will use a variety of tools such as foam rollers, strength bands, and lacrosse balls. NIA® - Combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. More than just a workout, Nia is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life: body, mind and soul. ~Silver&Fit® Excel - A class designed for the advanced, athletic older adult who is looking for a challenging workout. This class will help you increase your heart health and muscle strength. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. ~*Strength - This class is primarily muscular strength training using weights, resistance tools, and one’s own body weight. This class will help increase bone density, increase metabolism, improve function and provide benefits for daily living. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. ~*Strength and Balance Level 1 - Classes will concentrate on range of motion from head to toe along with lifting hand-held weights and using one’s own body weight to improve stability and strength. ~*Strength and Balance Level 2 - Classes will focus on range of motion from head to toe and using your own body weight improving stability and strength. Must be able to easily get up and down from the floor. ~*T’ai Chi Chih - A simple style of T’ai Chi which consists of 19 movements and one pose. It is practiced as a slow-motion movement done in a relaxed and flowing manner, which deepens breathing and stimulates circulation. This gentle art appears effortlessly easy but is quite profound. A great way to alleviate stress and improve posture, breathing and balance. ~*TRX® Level 1 - This class is designed to teach you how to properly use the TRX suspension trainer. This tool is excellent for increasing strength and improving body awareness. Your instructor will break down form, technique and introduce exercises that will improve daily function. ~*TRX® Level 2 - Enjoy a suspension training body-weight workout that develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. This advanced TRX class will introduce progressions for the exercises learned in TRX Level 1. This class will also include TRX exercises on the floor. Must have approval from a fitness specialist to participate. Zumba® Gold - This fun Latin-style dance class helps you improve your cardio fitness, balance and strength.
