Anything cooked on the grill, fire makes meat taste good! 2. Who do you admire and why? I admire our men and women in uniform within their various capacities of service. It takes a special person to run toward danger when everyone else is running away. 3. If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be? Ozzy Osbourne, the man is not only a great entertainer but is among the funniest human beings to ever walk the planet. 4. What is something that no one knows about you? I won a first place American Poetry Society award when I was a teenager. 5. What is your most unusual talent? I’m a MacGyver of sorts and can constructively make use of most anything. 6. If you won a million dollars, what would you do? Invest, invest, invest then keep showing up for work at Leisure World for work every day. 7. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Australia, I love extremes in nature and would love to tackle the Outback! 8. What is your favorite U.S. state and why? Arizona by far! I’m well-traveled and have yet to find a place where I feel more at home and have such a deep appreciation for every aspect. 9. Where were you born? Small town in Oklahoma 10. Do you have a nickname? If so, what and why? In my line of work I get called lots of things depending on the difficulty of the workout, but as a child I was called “Joey.” Once I became an adult I quickly shed that “y”! 11. If you could learn only one new skill, what would it be? How to be a concert sound engineer. 12. What is your favorite TV show? Forensic Files, I’m amazed at the contrast between the stupid in society vs. the brilliant. 13. What is your favorite movie of all time? Smokey and The Bandit, Jackie Gleason can still bring me to tears with laughter! 14. What is your favorite sport? Equal ratio between combat sports and higher intensity motorsports, never been entertained by watching grown men play with a ball. 15. What is your perfect weekend? Traveling to a new area of Arizona, tackling the gnarliest mountain trail, then relaxing in the hot tub beneath the desert sky! 16. What is the last book you read? Autobiography of Slash, the lead guitarist from Gun’s-n-Roses. This man is one of the most emotionally driven and talented musicians I’ve ever experienced live! 17. What is one thing you would never settle for? Mediocrity, just never been wired to ever accept “good-enough.” 18. What could you not live without? My guitars! 19. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only choose one person or thing to keep you company, who or what would it be? I would take a guitar and serenade the stars at night. 20. If you had a warning label, what would it say? “Beware of: Intensity, Passion, and Drive, possibly contagious!” 21. If a genie appeared and gave you three wishes, what would they be? To have true internal peace, good health all my years, and to select the correct means to truly make a difference in the lives of those around me. 22. If you had to join the circus, what would you do? Clown, I love to make people laugh! 23. What fictional character would you love to meet in real life? The Greatest American Hero.
