You will realize as we share our questions, concerns and experiences, that we can all learn from one another and lift each other up. Some of us are just starting out on this journey, while others have had more experience. Regardless, we share helpful ideas and strategies We provide handouts from the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute and Barrow Neurological Institute, which offer invaluable information, tips and strategies for caregivers. Democratic Club Submitted by Ruth Crook Our club has been growing with a sea of blue democrats in Leisure World! Become involved in our Democratic Club. We meet on Wednesday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Card Club Room in Rec. 1. Our guest speaker is chair Nancy Schriber, Maricopa County Democratic Party. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are working hard to make this a better place for everyone, but we have two obstructionists in our party, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Their refusal to support filibuster reform, to pass voting rights legislation and the president’s social spending package Build Back Better. In Arizona, we also have a problem with the Republican legislation passing voter restrictions. We cannot stand by and watch democracy be destroyed and division sown in our daily lives. Get involved and participate by showing your enthusiasm in wanting to be a good neighbor. Support the candidates who give so much time and money to serve your needs. Help raise funds so we don’t have dark money and the wealthy ruling or calling all the shots. We need all hands to knock on doors and register people to vote. We welcome Independents to join us!
