It is not too early to think about your original and creative entries for the Spring Art Show on Saturday, March 19. Applications can be found in the Art Studio. The deadline is Saturday, March 5 at 12:00 p.m. LW Chorus Submitted by Bruce Collier Showtime! We talked and kidded about our special show for the last couple of months, and now it is here! That is if you are reading this before the weekend of March 12-13. If so, tickets are still available at the Rec. 1 ticket office, and of course, will be available at the door. But what a show! Beginning with “Give my Regards to Broadway,” we will take you through a big variety of music such as “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” You also get a chance to join in and a multi-soloist special version of “Les Miserables.” That brings up the question of how do I pronounce this? Is it “Less Miserables,” meaning fewer unhappy people? Oh well, there are other options, but the main thought is that it will be especially entertaining! Please join us in the Hopi/Pima room at Rec. 2 on Saturday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, March 13 at 3:00 p.m. So don’t wait, get your tickets today! Music Therapy Class Submitted by Vicki Noble Our Leisure World Music Therapy Class is held in person twice per month year-round. We meet in the music room in Rec. 2 on the first and third Friday of each month at 12:30 p.m. If you are a caregiver of a loved one who is struggling with any form of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, frontal lobe or with Parkinson’s disease, this is the place to be! We enjoy singing our favorite songs with our talented music therapists. It is amazing to watch and listen to our loved ones singing songs they still remember! We will also have a Zoom music class every Friday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with other caregivers and their loved ones around the Valley. If you want to join this group, please send your email address to Vicki Noble at vicnal7@gmail.com or text it to 480-369-1466. She will email you the link the day before class. Wait until class time, click on the link and join the fun! For more information, please contact Vicki Noble at 480-369-1466.
