Some of the show tunes have unique stories that made them memorable, such as “Sugartime,” “The River,” and many more! SRP is joining us this year by offering their theme song, “Waitin’ for the Light to Shine!” Tickets are available in the Rec Office, from members of the chorus or at the door. Choose one of two adventures: Envy Murder Mystery or Lost Mummy . Envy Murder Mystery transports you to a 1920s mansion where a care-free dinner party has taken a turn for the worst. Gather evidence and solve the murder before your captain has your head. Lost Mummy: In this world, you will race to unlock the mysteries of the mummies’ tomb and hopefully escape! Reserve your escape room experience at the Recreation Office or online. Each group is limited to six people to ensure equitable play. Date: Sat., Mar. 12 Time: 1:00 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Place: Club Room, Queen Card Room Price: $15 per person Deadline: Fri., Mar. 11 In September, Leisure World updated our website with the capability of buying tickets online. With this launch, access to Recreation and Wellness classes and event registration and tickets are available 24/7. To help resolve the existent growing pains, the Recreation Department will be offering two in-person classes on how to order tickets. We will go over how to open and select your seats for the upcoming Performing Arts Season tickets sales and more! Please bring your own laptop or computer tablet and make sure you can log in to the website prior to coming to avoid disrupting the flow of class. Date & Time: Mon., Mar. 7 at 10:00 a.m. Thur., Mar. 10 at 6:00 p.m. Place: Rec. 1 Ballroom How to Order Tickets on LWCA Website We need volunteers to help before and during the Easter Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt is coming up and we need your help with this fun event! Help stuff the eggs on Wednesday, April 13 in the Rec. 1 Ballroom at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday morning, April 16 help run games on the Promenade and Sport Court, scatter eggs for the hunt and help at the token redemption tables. Please come by the Recreation Office for more information and to sign up! Egg Hunt Volunteers Needed! All the shows are booked for the next terrific season of entertainment in the Performing Arts Series. Now is the time to plan on purchasing your 2022-2023 Season Tickets! In addition to the six shows (two each January, February and March), we have two great “pre-season” shows (one in November and one in December). A brochure highlighting each act and outlining the season ticket pricing is available online and in the Recreation Office . This season we will have an open seat, first come process for purchasing, both online and in the office. This year, we will be doing things a little different. With the new www.LWCA.com website, you can now purchase your season tickets from the comfort of your home. Select your seat from “Season Ticket 6” and if you want to pre-season select your seat from “Pre-Season Tickets 2.” If you would rather wait and stop by the Recreation Office, come in or call to pay over the phone. On Sale: Tues., Mar. 15 At-Home Time: 6:00 a.m. In-Office Time: 7:30 a.m. Performing Arts Series 2022-2023 Season Ticket Sales Join with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy a lovely evening at the Rec. 2 Golf Practice Range. Bring your appetites to indulge yourself at one of these mouth-watering food trucks: The Wildfire Food Truck and Wood Fire Pizza Food Truck. Bring lawn chairs and blankets or make it a “drive-in” with your golf cart. We will be showing Steven Spielberg’s new 2021 rendition of West Side Story – PG13, if released in time.
