Colorado Real Estate Journal - November 19, 2014
The Colorado Real Estate Journal is launching a new quarterly special section that will focus on property management. The goal is to highlight anything and everything related to successfully managing a property. Maintaining a thriving building requires property managers to act as the problem solver for a variety of challenges. They have responsibilities to the building owners to ensure that the property is kept in good shape as well as responsibility to the tenants to make sure the leased space is functional. The job description requires managers to always be ready for the next challenge, wherever it may come from, while simultaneously completing their checklists for the cyclical routines. With all these responsibilities, there is little time to do anything else. For that reason, CREJ established the niche publication to give managers information they need now. Property Management Quarterly will cover a variety of building types – from office to medical to retail to hotels and more. There will be themes that run parallel for all managers, regardless of property type, and there will be areas highlighted that are specific to a single building type. Topics will include keeping readers up to date on new codes and policies as well as emerging technologies, how to maintain and retain tenants, tips for keeping building owners and investors happy, information about well-liked, new and useful vendors, as well as association news and events. CREJ will continue to publish a property management section in the main newspaper as well, which will focus on timely news and announcements. As we’re putting the 2015 calendar together, we encourage you to reach out to the section’s editor, Michelle Askeland, with any news or topic ideas you would like to read about. Contact Askeland at 303-623-1148 or maskeland@crej.com. The Property Management Quarterly will be included in the following issues of the Colorado Real Estate Journal: Feb. 4- Feb. 17, May 6 - May 19, Aug. 5-Aug. 19 and Nov. 4-Nov. 17
