Robert Russell Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Community is holding a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony this month to celebrate the opening of the new Mary Barry Building at Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Community’s campus at 2445 S. Quebec St. in Denver. Project team members include Pinkard Construction, Lee Architects, Development Advisors and Colorado Business Bank. The grand opening is part of Eastern Star’s $15 million expansion project that will add 64,000 square feet of assisted living, memory care, commercial kitchen and common space to the existing 19-acre campus. The new facility includes 48 assisted living units, 20 memory care apartments and resident’s choice of private or companion apartment with kitchenettes with full-size refrigerators. The units are available on a month-to-month basis, and include 24-hour response system, full service barber and beauty salon, a library and computer room, fitness room, chapel and theater. Prospective residents do not have to hold Masonic affiliation. With the Mary Barry Building addition, the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Community contains 58 independent living cottages, 20 memory care apartments, and 91 assisted living apartments.
