Design Concepts recently promoted Robyn Bartling and added five landscape architects and designers to the Lafayette firm’s staff. Bartling, PLA, ASLA, a landscape architect and project manager, is now an associate with the firm. She joined Design Concepts in June 2012 and has worked on municipal parks and recreation projects, including the Stanley Park Master Plan for Estes Park, Fountain Creek Recreation Area in Pueblo, the Family Adventure Park-YMCA in Granby and Inspiration Playground in Bellevue, Wash. She previously worked for Denver firms designing urban parks and recreation facilities, trails and public garden projects, and has extensive construction management experience. Bartling earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Colorado State University. She is a Registered Landscape Architect in Colorado and a nationally certified playground safety inspector. Bill Gotthelf, PLA, ASLA, LEED-AP BD+C, joined the firm as a landscape architect and project manager. Previously, he worked for firms in Denver and Boulder. Recent projects include a new LEED Gold visitor center at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and a LEED Platinum employee housing complex at Grand Canyon Village. Gotthelf earned a master’s degree in landscape architecture at Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Russian area studies at Colorado College. He is a Registered Landscape Architect in Colorado, and a certified professional in green building design and construction in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program. Jennifer Gee joined Design Concepts as a landscape designer and project manager. With more than 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, she previously worked for four years as a contractor for Design Concepts, and for firms in Boulder, Denver, and Northern Idaho. Gee’s current work includes master planning, landscape designs and management for municipal parks, playgrounds and schools, including Center Park in Centennial, Elk Ridge Park in Castle Pines, Discovery Playground in Spokane Valley, Wash., and Learning Landscapes for the Denver Public Schools. Gee earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture with high honors from the University of Idaho and studied landscape architecture in Turin, Italy. Adrienne Burton, ASLA, LEED Green Associate, joined the firm as a landscape designer and has been working on school and park landscape design, including for the Cole and Mitchell public schools in Denver and Evanston Middle School in Evanston, Wyo. She previously worked for design firms in Denver. Burton earned her master’s degree in landscape architecture and bachelor’s degree with high honors in architecture at Auburn University. She is an associate in the LEED green building program. Andrew Patton joined the firm as a landscape designer. He has been working on landscape designs for Colorado parks and schools, including the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds master plan in Centennial, Stanley Park in Estes Park and Elbert PK-12 School in Elbert. He earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture at Colorado State University, and previously worked for design-build firms in Denver and Boulder. Andrew Vieth was hired as a landscape designer and has been working on Colorado parks and schools, including Weld 6 Middle School in Evans, High-Plains K-12 School in Vona, Pueblo Fountain Creek Park, and the Chaffee County Fairgrounds Master Plan. Vieth graduated with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Colorado State University. He previously worked as an e-commerce and international event assistant for Sport Conrad in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Cator, Ruma & Associates promoted Jackie Rudko and Geri Rosier to associate. Rudko joined Cator, Ruma & Associates in 2002 as an electrical engineer and has provided innovative design, and leadership and guidance in her role as project manager for numerous complex projects in the health care and hospitality industries, among others. Rudko also counts low-energy design, including energy-efficient lighting and power distribution systems, among her areas of expertise. Rosier has been with Cator, Ruma & Associates since 1992, when she joined the accounting department. Since that time, Rosier has assumed the role of finance manager, overseen the growth of the accounting and human resources department and has been instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the company. In her new role as associate, she will continue her leadership of the aforementioned departments as well as contribute to the broader management and oversight of the firm’s finances, operations and personnel. Heidi Tribelhorn was named project manager for two new townhome developments by Sagebrush Cos. Tribelhorn will oversee the project team for LoHi Place Townhomes and 24 Jeff Park Townhomes in Denver. As project manager for LoHi Place and 24 Jeff Park, Tribelhorn also will manage budgets, schedules and quality, and assure the projects stay on track. Tribelhorn, a Denver native, earned her bachelor’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University and is a Certified Project Management Professional. She is experienced in a broad range of technical and computer skills and is knowledgeable about compliance policies and standards in addition to the legal aspects of construction and development. For the past two decades, she has held lead project management positions for builders in Colorado and in Jackson Hole, Wyo., on a broad range of residential projects. Turner Construction added nine new employees to the team that is constructing the new Replacement Medical Center Facility for the Veterans Affairs in Aurora. Nate Mork and Keith Krajko joined Turner as field engineers. Mork attended St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. Krajko graduated in 2013 from University of Wisconsin-Platteville, with a degree in building construction management and business administration, with an emphasis in applied management. Marty Sims joined Turner as an assistant MEP superintendent. He graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. His previous position was in construction management with a large telecommunications service provider. Art Littman and Troy Reimers joined Turner’s change management department. Littman has been in construction for more than 28 years. Reimers is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and also is a registered structural engineer. Bryan Petterson joined Turner as a project engineer for quality control. He attended Colorado State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. Erin Schultz joined the team as an interiors engineer on the Diagnostic & Treatment Building. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006. Schultz’s experience in the industry includes building a jail, courthouse and a museum in downtown Denver, and a high-rise hotel/casino/spa in the Rocky Mountains. Sydney Liming and Adam Horecki were recently hired after interning with Turner in summer 2012. Liming is a field/office engineer on the Concourse. She graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in mechanical engineering. Horecki is a field engineer building three parking garages. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s in civil engineering. BurkettDesign promoted three staff members to the role of associate principal. Kitty Yuen is a licensed architect and licensed interior designer with more than 20 years’ experience in varied project types from health care and higher education to civic, corporate and retail. She received her Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Arizona, College of Architecture. She is licensed in Colorado with certifications in National Council Architectural Registration Boards and National Certification Interior Design Qualifications and Construction Document Technologist. She was the 2011 American Institute of Architects Denver Chapter president and still maintains an executive committee position. Ben Niamthet has a passion for international design and has worked on projects in the United States and around the world. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental design (architecture) from the University of Colorado. Renee Riviere provides expertise in the areas of planning and finishes integration. She earned a Bachelor of Science in interior design from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
