GE Johnson Construction Company Holdings announced that, effective June 1, GE Johnson Construction Company LLC will assume oversight responsibilities of H.W. Houston Construction LLC. The management transition and formation of the new entity of H.W. Houston Construction LLC is led by Scott Robb, general manager, and Louis Nazario, project development director – both longtime leaders with H.W. Houston. Robb and Nazario will report to Justin Cooper, vice president and general manager of GE Johnson Construction Co., and will continue their cultural focus on servicing client needs throughout the state of Colorado with combined resources and market presence in diverse industries including health care, education, laboratory, institutional, manufacturing, performing arts and athletic facilities. “Having known and competed against H.W. Houston for so many years, we began a dialogue around what we had in common as the current management – Ken West and Paul Depatie – were looking to transition their company into the future. We knew the combination of the two firms’ resources would make a stronger company and felt it was extremely important to keep the Houston legacy and day-to-day management in Pueblo. We are excited about the opportunities that we will pursue together,” said Jim Johnson, president and CEO of GE Johnson Construction Co.. GE Johnson Construction Co. was founded in 1967 in Colorado Springs and maintains offices in Colorado Springs, Denver, Vail, Oklahoma City and Jackson, Wyoming, with completed projects across 14 states. H.W. Houston Construction LLC was founded in the 1940s and incorporated in Colorado in 1954. The company has grown to be the largest general contractor and construction manager south of Colorado Springs and north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. H.W. Houston is headquartered in Pueblo and has a northern division office in Golden.
