In addition to more than 100
of the nation’s best college
football seniors running on and
off the Ladd-Peebles Stadium
turf during the 2014 Senior
Bowl in Mobile on January 25,
there were two much younger
kids doing the same thing as
part of a special honor for the
2014 game. The Senior Bowl,
along with Academy Sports
and Outdoors, chose one boy
and one girl among thousands
of entries, to serve as a Kickoff
Kid and retrieve the tee after
each kickoff during the game.
Kayla Broome represented
St. Vincent de Paul School at
the Senior Bowl. In addition
to getting the chance to run
on and off the Ladd-Peebles
Stadium field in front of
40,000-plus fans, she received
a personalized jersey that they
will wear during the game,
game tickets and pre-game
Tailgate Party passes for her
family, a football autographed
by both teams, and special
recognition during the first
half of the game.
