gulfport -- St. James Catholic School marked 50 years Sunday, February
2, with a Mass and special recognition of Sr. Kathleen Byrne as she retires after 25
years of teaching.
The Sisters of Mercy founded the school in 1963, and have been a strong pres-
ence for 50 years.
