Upon This Rock Scripture Study
is an
inter-parochial program founded in 2002
by Catholics seeking to understand and
appreciate the Catholic faith by studying
Scripture and tradition. These objectives
included understanding the connection
between the Catholic faith and one’s
daily life, developing a more personal
relationship with God, and developing
the practice of personal and family
prayer. St. Mary Parish in Woolmarket
was chosen as the centralized location to
meet. Bible study participants look for-
ward each year to learning about God’s
plan of salvation throughout the Old and
New Testament and why the Catholic
Church, both human and divine, is “the
sacrament of salvation, the sign and the
instrument of the communion of God
and men” CCC 780.
