37th
Annual Ice Cream Social
will be held on
Tuesday, July 12, in the AUDITORIUM. Doors
open at 6:15 p.m. Come listen to the
VFW Band
and enjoy some ice cream with cake or pie!
Our next meeting will be on Monday, August
15, at 9:30 a.m. in the COLORADO ROOM. At
that time we will be finalizing our plans for our
end-of-summer bake sale, which will be held
on Friday, August 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in
the CENTERPOINT LOBBY. Please contact

DEMOCRATIC BOOK CLUB

DEMOCRATIC CLUB
will meet on
Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. in CENTERPOINT.
Our program will focus on mental health, which
is vitally important to all and has special meaning
as we age. Our presenter will be Andrew
Romanoff, president and CEO of Mental Health
Colorado. This non-profit organization promotes
the awareness, education and treatment of
mental health. We look forward to a wide-ranging
presentation on this very important subject.
Please join us at Blossoms Restaurant at 5:30
p.m., before the meeting, for conversation and
nourishment.
GARDEN CLUB
:
The garden club wait
list has reached the limit of 40 people and will
be closed until mid-January.  Current garden
club members:  Please plan to attend the general
meeting on Saturday, September 17, at 10:30
a.m. in the COLORADO ROOM. The agenda
will include voting for new club board members.
Following our meeting will be our fun, annual
picnic at 11:30 a.m. Please look for more details
in August and September.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN’S CLUB
will be hosting Kathy Law from the Volunteers
of America Colorado Chapter on Saturday, July
9, in CENTERPOINT. Kathy will speak about
many of the 30,000 programs that are available
to Colorado residents that help subsidize low-
income individuals and families. Volunteers of
America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based
organization dedicated to helping those in need
rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.
Information on how you can help as a volunteer
will be shared as well. Free refreshments and a
small business meeting will start the morning at
9:30 a.m., and then our guest speaker will begin
at 10 a.m.
