FRIDAY NIGHT BALLROOM DANCES

Jim Ehrlich will play for your dancing enjoyment on July 8 when our
sponsors will be Harvard Square and Fairmount. On July 15 TomAllan Duo
will play, and our sponsors will be Cherry Creek Retirement Community
and Fairmount.

MONTHLY BALLROOM DANCE
is held the last Saturday of the
month from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the AUDITORIUM. On Saturday, July 30,
you will dance to the music of Tom Yook. We welcome a new sponsor, The
Gardens at St. Elizabeth, and returning sponsor Fairmount.

ACTIVE MINDS
– THE REFUGEE
CRISIS:
Thursday, August 18, at 2 p.m. in
CENTERPOINT. Millions of refugees are
fleeing from danger zones in Syria, Iraq and
elsewhere, creating a humanitarian crisis of epic
proportions. Many are dying in transit and the
nations receiving them are being overwhelmed.
Join Active Minds as we explore how the
migrants and the international community are
struggling to cope with these challenges.
Cost
: FREE.

JOHN DENVER TRIBUTE
CONCERT
with COWBOY BRAD

August 25, at 7 p.m. in the AUDITORIUM.
Cowboy Brad Fitch is a singer, songwriter and
guitarist who was raised in Estes Park, Colorado
and has been playing professionally since he
was 15 years old. With over 300 shows a year,
he has a busy schedule and we are lucky to
have him perform at WG.
Cost:
$10
per person. Cash bar will be available
in the lobby.
ANNUAL EXPOS – CLASSES
and
CLUBS/GROUPS:
Join us for the classes
and clubs/groups expos this year on the same
day: Wednesday, August 31, from 1 p.m. to 3
p.m.
CLASSES EXPO:
Our instructors will be in
the Auditorium to talk about their classes, give
information regarding time and day and supply
lists if applicable. Stop by and get acquainted
before classes begin. Many of our instructors will
be doing demonstrations.
CLUBS & GROUPS EXPO:
Members of various
WG clubs and groups will be in CENTERPOINT
on the same day, allowing you to “see it all” in
one day. Join us for a look at the many clubs and
groups that are at home at Windsor Gardens.
As always, light refreshments will be served.
Cowboy Brad Fitch has been performing John Denver tribute concerts for
the last 13 years. He is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who was raised in
Estes Park, Colorado and has been playing professionally since he was 15
years old. He performed for President Bush in 2001 during Bush’s trip to
Colorado; he also performed at the 2008 Democratic National Convention
here in Denver. Brad performs at corporate events, conventions, fairs,
concerts and music festivals in locations ranging from Massachusetts to
Hawaii and, of course, Red Rocks. Brad regularly performs at the John
C O N C E R T
Denver Music Festival in Aspen. With over 300 shows a year, he has a busy
schedule and we are lucky to have him perform at WG for you.
Brad is also a National Park Ranger from May to October each year. It is
his love of our beautiful planet that drew him to John Denver’s music. As
a steward for the planet many of the songs Brad has written are meant to
raise our conscience about preserving our environment.

Wednesday, July 27, at 1 p.m. in
CENTERPOINT WEST. Amy Pulley of the Denver Regional Council of
Governments (DRCOG) will present topics that connect elderly and disabled
individuals with information and services to help them remain in the homes
and retain their quality of life. She will also offer information about the
various programs offered by DRCOG and will be available for questions.
