voters will be asked if Colorado should become
the 6th state to allow medical aid in dying. Under
the proposed law a terminally ill adult resident of
the state could legally ask his or her physician

if the person’s suffering became unbearable.
Polls show the majority of Coloradans believe
this option should be available for those who
want to use it, but attempts to pass it through the
state legislature failed in both 2015 and 2016.
